Ed Proko - Owner

Ed started his first business in Worcester at the age of 23! A lifelong resident of the City of Worcester, Ed owned a gas station in North Worcester before founding North End Motor Sales in 1983, which he operated for 18 years. He sold North End and opened Mill Street Motors in June of 2001.

Ed has been buying and selling quality vehicles for almost 40 years. His exceptional buying experience ensures that the vehicle you get is dependable and safe, not just someone else's headache.

Ed manages Mill Street Motors, is our primary buyer and is involved in every aspect of sales. Ed prides himself on honesty and supporting our community.

Ed’s leadership and approach to business was pivotal in Mill Street Motors being selected as a finalist in the Better Business Bureau’s 2014 Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics and an A+ Better Business Bureau accreditation.

Beth Proko - Co-owner

Beth has been working at Mill Street Motors since 2001 after a career focused on advertising, sales, and computers. In addition to helping with sales, Beth handles accounting, inventory management, advertising and social media.

Beth has an Associate Degree in Business from Becker College and a Certificate in Information Systems from New Hampshire College. She is President of the Indian Lake Watershed Association and an organizer of CAMPQUEST Walk to benefit The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. She serves on the YMCA of Central MA Greendale Branch Board of Governors and spent 6 years on the Worcester Airport Advisory Board. She has received the Girl Scouts’ 2008 Women of Distinction award, 2010 Business Person of the Year award, Thomas Jefferson Award from the Worcester Public Schools in 2012 and the Worcester Union Athletics 2019 Inspirational Women of Worcester award.

Jerry Toohil - Service Manager

Jerry Toohil is Mill Street 's Service Manager who can be seen doing anything from service to sales! His extensive background includes nearly 30 years in the industry as a full service mechanic and expert transmission rebuilder. Jerry is ASE certified and is a transmission and drive train specialist. He is also a member of the Automotive Transmission Rebuilders Association (ATRA).

Jerry is an avid fishing enthusiast who often tows his boat to work 'just in case' an opportunity to fish comes up! He is active with New England Bass Boat Central and the New England Bass Association (NEBA). Jerry coordinates many tournaments including the legendary 'Northern Rally', a 30+ boat bass tournament drawing folks from all around the country now in its 20th year!

Jerry and his wife Tara and dog, Hooper, live in Worcester.

Morgan and Delaney Proko

Morgan and Delaney have been fixtures at Mill Street since our opening in 2001. Whether it be helping with a commercial, answering phones or cleaning cars, the girls are a big part of our business.

Morgan is a 2020 graduate of Merrimack College with degrees in Biology and Environmental Science and Sustainability. She is an Staff Scientist at TRC Companies.

Delaney is a Marketing Major at Endicott College and a member of the Endicott College Dance Team. With her team, she has competed nationally. Delaney is currently studying for a semester in Madrid, Spain.

Apollo Proko - Mill Street Motors Mascot

We lost our sweet boy, Apollo, on November 16, 2021. At 14 ½ years old, we know that he was blessed with a long life of being spoiled and loved unconditionally. Yet, we still miss him every day. The majority of his life was spent with us at Mill Street ….he especially loved picking up pens, greeting customers and napping.
